Kelsey Otten grew up in Northern Kentucky, where a piece of her heart will always live.

 

She has bachelor degrees in English Literary Studies and history, an associate's degree in psychology, and holds a master's in public health.

​

During undergrad, Kelsey dabbled in creative writing, taking a wide array of courses that allowed her to experiment with different methods of writing, including short stories and poetry.

​

For Kelsey, art imitates life, which is why she is working on completing a series of contemporary fiction novels inspired by her work experience in the field of substance use disorders and recovery. She hopes that this piece inspires a little more empathy in the world. 

​

She currently resides in Arizona and is loving the Southwest. Besides writing, Kelsey enjoys reading, running, hiking, crafting, and spending time with her favorite people.
